Javiera Schumacher

Was born in Puerto Montt, Chile, in 1992 and has been based in Berlin since 2019.

As an architect, she has lived and worked in several cities like Santiago, Buenos Aires, Berlin and Milan. Her work explores the creation of temporary spaces that combine different disciplines such as art, ecology and technology to create meeting devices between humans and also other species.

“In an increasingly fast-paced and productive society, proposing meeting spaces between people and their environment by merging physical and psychological parameters should be a central issue for design. How to create spaces that connect us with our desires and emotions?”
